Baton Instructor & Owner:

Jacinda Miller is excited to have your child enrolled in baton twirling classes. I have always said that I would not be who I am without baton twirling. I learned more than how to twirl a baton; I learned public speaking skills, interviewing skills, confidence, poise, and so much more! I was lucky enough to have parents that really supported my twirling so thanks mom and dad! The support of my entire family helped me in winning the Illinois State Solo Championship, Midwest Modeling Championship, and the Governor’s Hostess for the Illinois State Fair. After my competitive career came to a close I took an adventure to the University of Arizona and was a member of the twirling team. Eventually I was selected as the Captain of the Twirling Team. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies with an emphasis in Child Development. Later, I returned to Capella University and earned a Master of Science in Organization and Management.

I have been teaching for over 15 years. I have also enjoyed a career in higher education, working at several local colleges in the Admission, Student Service Department, and as an instructor. I continue to teach classes at the college level while teaching children this great sport! I have coached thousands of children to improve their twirling skills as well as their confidence, self-esteem, and physical fitness. In 2002, I began the Minnesota Magic Competitive Teams. Our twirlers are improving every day and you should look for them to perform around our community! Many of our twirlers have won State, Regional and National Titles. It is my greatest accomplishment to see my students achieve their goals!

Dance Instructor:

Rachael Hillman graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance. She has trained with the Minnesota Dance Theater, Royal Winnipeg Ballet and the Performing Arts Center. While in college, Rachael was recognized for both her dancing and choreography by the American College Dance Festival. Also, she has toured the Midwest with Dancers in Company and Poetic Rebound Performance Company. Rachael loves to move, groove and challenge her dancers to become the best they can be while having fun.

Student Teachers:

Our sport has continued for generations because young twirlers develop a passion for teaching new twirlers! Jacinda selects her very best twirlers to student teach. First the student joins Jacinda to learn the curriculum and classroom management. After developing a thorough knowledge, the student teacher will begin to teach classes by her/himself. Our goal in every class is to help those twirlers that love baton develop their skills so that they may join our competitive and performance teams
