Baton Twirling Classes

Baton classes are offered for a variety of ability levels and ages. These classes are fun and exciting for all new twirlers. Fall classes are in full swing and we are excited about all of the new students that have joined our sport! Winter classes start January 10th. Space is limited to 10 students to maximize your attention! Check out our schedule for class days and times or contact us with your questions.

If your child has completed at least one beginner baton class and would like to continue with our great sport, they have several options! Many beginning baton students are asked to join Minnesota Magic Competitive Baton Teams. Students that are asked to join will have demonstrated knowledge and interest in baton twirling, as well as a willingness to practice, be a part of a team, and HAVE FUN! Beginner Baton Twirling Classes
Beginner Baton Twirling classes are offered for all ages and are for those students that have taken less than a year of baton twirling classes. Our classes combine learning new tricks, developing correct technique, and having fun through creative methods.
Beginner Baton - Level II
This class challenges the 2nd year student to combine multiple twirls in succession, develop dance technique in combination with twirling moves, and continue to expand their tossing skills.
Intermediate Baton
Our Intermediate baton class helps the experienced twirler to continue to learn new twirls and combinations. Students will continue to work on multiple spins with various types of tosses as well as roll combinations.
Advanced Baton
The Advanced baton class will continue to challenge twirlers by developing their skills in catching the baton in a variety of ways. Students will also spend time learning 2 baton tricks and juggling combinations as well as basic 3 baton juggling combinations.
Beginner 2-Baton Class
Two-baton is an exciting form of baton twirling where students twirl 2-Batons at the same time. This class develops great baton twirling skills, hand-eye coordination, and complex thinking skills. This class is ideal for the beginner baton twirler that would like to continue to challenge themselves. Students will learn a routine that can be performed at local shows, parades, and/or competitions.
X-Strut Class
X-Strut combines various dance forms with baton twirling while following an "X" shaped pattern. If you love dance and baton twirling, then this class will allow you to learn interesting dance and baton twirling combinations without ever tossing the baton. Participants of this class will learn a routine that can be performed and competed at the competitions hosted by Minnesota Magic.
Solo Class
Students of this class will expand their knowledge of baton twirling tricks while learning a routine that can be performed at local competitions hosted by Minnesota Magic, performances, and parades. Contact us to learn more about this class!
Competitive Baton Twirling Teams
Minnesota Magic Competitive Baton Teams is composed of twirlers from across the Twin Cities that have successfully completed a beginner class and are looking to make new friends, continue to learn about baton, and HAVE FUN! Our competitive teams perform frequently at local and out-of-state competitions and performances. Students must be committed to practicing at least 2 hours per week and attend all team practices. Our competitive teams are divided into our Performance Team and National Team. Contact us to learn more about this exciting teams!
Individual Baton Twirling Lessons
If your child cannot get enough of baton and would like to quickly expand their skills, then enroll your child talk to Jacinda about individual lessons. These lessons are designed for the twirlers that want to compete individually. Your child should be ready to learn at least one individual routine, practice the routine and new tricks, and be ready to be a super star.
