Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing an activity for your child can create a lot of questions about how the performing arts “world” works. We’ll get you started with some of our most common questions from our parents and families.

What age can my child start dance classes?

When your child turns 2, we’d love to have them join our Baby Ballerinas program.

How long is each session?

Classes for the school year session begin in September (on the Monday following Labor Day) and continue through the end of May. We also offer a variety of classes in our Summer Session and for our camps and clinics!

How do I know which class is right for my child?

As you begin your enrollment with us, we will spend time talking with you about which class and teacher is going to give you the absolute best experience! Once we’ve agreed on that class then we will give you a class recommendation in order to complete your enrollment.

Do I need to stay at the studio while my child is in class?

You are welcome to stay during your child’s class, however, you are also welcome to run an errand or two. On those busy nights for your family, if you are going to be late picking up your child, please let our staff know and we’ll take extra-special care of your child!

Can I watch my child?

Our lobby area will allow you to see into either of our classrooms.

 

How do I make my payments?

When completing your registration, you will sign-up for auto-pay. Auto-payments are processed on the 10th of every month.

What if my child misses a class?

Our instructors will briefly review the material that was covered in the previous week to ensure that all students understand what was covered before moving on in our curriculum. We’ll help your child with any additional teaching or coaching during that portion of our class.

Why do you have two recitals?

We believe in the power of performance in helping children to gain confidence. Our Mid-Year Recital provides an opportunity for students to practice all of their new skills and allows for our competition teams to debut this year’s routines. Our Annual Recital is the culmination of our work throughout the year.

What expenses can I expect as a new family to your studio? 

Expenses are a common concern for most families.  Families can expect to pay a registration fee.  Depending on current productions and events at the studio, the registration fee may cover additional attire.

New students will need to have a leotard, tights and shoes for their class. Each of those items may be purchased at the studio or you can use our online store using the link below:

Student’s faces light up when they see the sparkly, beautiful and age-appropriate costumes that are selected for our Annual Recital.  Your child’s teacher will choose a costume that will delight her students and get the children jumping for joy.  Costumes are between $75-$80 and usually require minimal altering.

Families will also purchases tickets to our Mid-Year and Annual Recital.  Ticket prices range from $16 –  $20. Our team will work to make your child’s recital a memorable experience for your entire family and your child will be a star as they take the stage to perform for you.
